I'm using a GPS with downloaded tracks. However I did not have a GPS map over Switzerland except the European background map so I had to use paper maps downloaded and printed from the good homepage: http://www.wanderland.ch/fr/itineraires/route/etappe/etappe/etappe-01112.html
The combination worked. Unfortunately my GPS tracks were a bit old so when the track had been moved due to building activities an such you had to navigate a portion only using the markings and the were sometimes sparse.
The day continued a bit further away from the lake. Sometimes on gravel sometimes on asphalt. Passed many vineyards. I met a German who said that he had walked all the way from Santiago and should continue all the way to his home in Germany. Two veterans that met.
Had lunch in Rolle. Noted again that everything was twice as expensive in Switzerland as back home.
After a beautiful park I approached Glen. Had at several occasions seen signs informing about "gite de pellerin" i Glen. It was not difficult to find, located directly by the track. But it was a bit early during the day so I determined to continue trough Gland. There was a bad portion where you had to walk on a road with heavy traffic for a short while. But it got better and I passed close to an airfield were there was an old(?) Antonov double-decker.
Further along the road I got into Nyon. Not easy to get an accommodation but eventually I found a hotel. Walked around the city a while
before returning for the night.
